I know this is McCartney verbatim, but I always read that Dylan said “You don’t want to cute anymore “ after Paul played him Revolver, not Pepper.

Yeah Peppers was 67 and Dylan was in Woodstock by then so Paul’s definitely misremembering. In fact it’s quite possibly Rubber Soul as I think Revolver didn’t come out till the August after Dylan’s accident.

New Morning is the best and most musical Dylan LP. No wonder McCartney likes it.
